Reducing Our Plastic Waste
In room seven we have been doing our topic around reducing plastic waste. So we made beeswax wrap instead of glad wrap and also material bags.
Ingredients for beeswax wrap and how to make it.
-baking paper
-fabric
-beeswax
-tray
iron
First you lay the baking paper on the tray. Then you grate the beeswax. Then put the fabric on the baking paper. Put the grated beeswax on the fabric and get another piece of baking paper and put it over top and iron until it is melted and spread around. Carefully peel the baking paper off and hang up the beeswax wrap to dry for 30 seconds and it is done.
For the material bags we cut out our patterns and sewed it together. I enjoyed making them.
